Abstract
To ensure epidemic prevention and the safe management of hazardous chemicals during the period of the 20th National Congress, on the morning of October 18, 2022, Cai Xiaojun, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy District Mayor of the Daxing District Government, led a team to the company for an inspection of epidemic prevention measures and workplace safety. Also present were Wang Qunhui, Party Secretary and Director of the Science and Technology Commission of Daxing District; Feng Mixiang, Deputy Director; Zhou Ruigang, Deputy General Manager of the Biomedical Base Management Committee; and Song Xinlei, Head of the Safety Division of the Biomedical Base Management Committee. The company’s General Manager Zheng Haifa, along with Wu Chengyu, Zhang Yidi, and other company representatives, accompanied the inspection.
The inspection team focused on verifying the implementation of the company’s epidemic prevention and control measures, as well as the safe storage, use, and management of hazardous chemicals. The team emphasized the need to maintain strict adherence to epidemic prevention protocols without any relaxation, rigorously enforcing personnel verification upon entry, facility disinfection, and personal protective measures. With regard to key areas of the hazardous chemical warehouse, the team called for a thorough identification and remediation of potential hazards to eliminate risks.
Subsequently, District Mayor Cai and his delegation held a symposium to review the company’s operations. General Manager Zheng Haifa briefed the district leaders on the company’s overall development, product R&D, and the progress of building a new, internationally‑oriented industrial base. Mr. Zheng and the district officials engaged in an in-depth discussion on vaccine R&D, biosafety, and the company’s strategic growth.
District Mayor Cai expressed high praise for Minhai’s rapid growth and its well‑structured product portfolio. He noted that Daxing District is strengthening industrial upgrading and revising its development policies, striving to create the most favorable policy environment in Beijing for attracting industries and supporting the expansion of high‑tech enterprises. He emphasized that the district government will provide comprehensive support to key enterprises in areas such as talent recruitment, policy assistance, administrative approvals, and international market development, encouraging Minhai— as a leading high‑tech company—to accelerate its growth and enhance its competitiveness, thereby making an even greater contribution to the national vaccine industry and to COVID‑19 prevention and control efforts.
