Leadership Message

Benefiting the world and the people; embracing all rivers.

Biotechnology and information technology are the core technologies of 21st‑century global science and innovation. As a pillar of China’s vaccine industry, Minhai has consistently placed responsibility and mission first, building, through relentless entrepreneurship, a team of industry leaders committed to the rapid and innovative development of China’s vaccine sector. Firmly seizing the technological forefront of global vaccine research, Minhai has erected a robust barrier of health protection for the nation. Its workforce is predominantly composed of individuals holding bachelor’s degrees or higher, with two decades of experience in R&D and manufacturing. Grounded in pragmatism and driven by a spirit of integration and innovation, they have successfully brought one vaccine product after another into industrial production, serving the public while embedding the principles of using science to strengthen the country and advancing national interests through practical enterprise into their very mission. From its humble beginnings as a small workshop‑laboratory, Minhai has grown into a large, specialized enterprise dedicated to vaccine R&D and manufacturing, now employing nearly 1,400 staff and boasting a cadre of hundreds of technical experts. Its quality management system seamlessly incorporates the strengths of the U.S. FDA and EU quality‑management frameworks, rigorously adheres to the latest national GMP standards, and comprehensively assimilates the integrated R&D and industrialization expertise of leading companies such as Merck in the United States and Pasteur in France. Through this approach, Minhai has forged a vaccine‑development pathway that is internationally oriented, tailored to China’s national conditions, driven by R&D, and characterized by highly efficient industrialization.

Minhai’s product portfolio includes the domestic 863 Program–derived, fully independently owned‑intellectual‑property‑protected acellular DPT–Haemophilus influenzae type b combination vaccine; the gold‑standard human diploid cell–based rabies vaccine, exclusively licensed from Sanofi Pasteur of France; and the inactivated poliovirus vaccine from INTRAVACC of the Netherlands, among other offerings. We are working closely with a range of strategic partners—including the World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Developing Countries Vaccine Manufacturers Network (DCVMN)—to explore new frontiers in the development of high‑end vaccines.

It is this great era that has bestowed upon our company the opportunity for vigorous growth, enabling us to establish a renowned Chinese brand in the global vaccine research and manufacturing landscape. Our vaccines now serve not only the people of China but also humanity at large. We devote ourselves wholeheartedly, working tirelessly and approaching both technology and product quality with the utmost rigor. Minhai’s corporate culture is simple yet unwavering: “No compromise, no luck, no procrastination—work steadily and be honest in all we do.” This principle underpins every aspect of our technological development and product stewardship. With steadfast goals and steady, solid progress, Minhai remains committed to realizing its vision of “benefiting society and the people, embracing the world with open arms.”
