Beijing Minhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
Beijing Minhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Minhai”) is located at No. 35 Simiao Road and No. 25 Tianfu Avenue, Daxing Biomedical Industry Base, Zhongguancun Science Park. Established in June 2004, the company currently has a registered capital of RMB 1 billion and operates two major R&D industrial bases covering a total area of 235 mu. With a workforce of over 1,400 employees, including more than 300 R&D professionals, Minhai has seen five team leaders awarded the prestigious title of “Leading Talent under the Innovation Program.” The company also hosts a Postdoctoral Research Station and an Academician–Expert Workstation. Minhai Biotechnology has consistently been recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a G20‑listed enterprise in Beijing, and has earned numerous honors and qualifications, including “Beijing Enterprise Technology Center,” “Beijing Patent Demonstration Unit,” “National–Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Novel Vaccine Technology Development,” “National Model Worker Team,” and inclusion among the “Top 100 Private Enterprises in Beijing for Technological Innovation.”
A modern, next-generation vaccine R&D technology platform
Since its establishment, Minhai Biologics has, through independent innovation, built multiple cutting-edge vaccine R&D platforms, including the Conjugate Vaccine Technology Platform, the Combination Vaccine Technology Platform, the Recombinant Protein Vaccine Technology Platform, the Oral Vaccine Technology Platform, the Vaccine Quality Evaluation Platform, the Serum-Free Cell Culture Medium Adaptation and Large-Scale Production Technology Platform, the mRNA Vaccine R&D Platform, and the VSV Vector Vaccine Platform. To date, nine products have been approved for market launch; among them, the “Acellular Diphtheria–Tetanus–Pertussis–Haemophilus influenzae type b Combined Vaccine” is China’s first domestically developed quadrivalent vaccine and remains the sole product of its kind on the market. The “13‑Valent Pneumococcal Polysaccharide Conjugate Vaccine (with Tetanus Toxoid/Diphtheria Toxoid)” employs a world‑first “dual‑carrier” protein conjugation technology, achieving efficacy and safety that match or even surpass leading international standards. The lyophilized human rabies vaccine (produced in human diploid cells) follows the WHO‑recognized “gold standard” and is the first domestic rabies vaccine to receive approval for both the 4‑dose and 5‑dose regimens. This lyophilized human rabies vaccine is widely regarded as the gold standard for rabies vaccines. Furthermore, the live attenuated varicella vaccine is the world’s first to utilize an ultrasonic disruption method outside the cell factory to harvest viral supernatant, thereby minimizing contamination and enhancing efficiency, while ensuring no antibiotics are added at any stage of production.
Develop better vaccines to serve human health.
In addition, the company maintains a pipeline of nearly 30 products in development, broadly covering the world’s major vaccine categories. It enjoys a long-standing technological edge, particularly in the field of multivalent and combination vaccines. Progress on key candidates—including a pentavalent vaccine, bivalent and quadrivalent influenza vaccines, and bivalent and quadrivalent inactivated enterovirus vaccines—is advancing steadily, establishing a robust “moat” of technology and performance. This lays a solid foundation for China’s biopharmaceutical industry to engage in high‑quality international competition and assume a central role on the global stage.
Minhai has consistently upheld the mission of developing superior vaccines to safeguard human health, striving forward with unwavering dedication. We are confident that, under the guidance of governments at all levels and with the concerted support of all sectors of society, every member of the Minhai team will work tirelessly to build Minhai Biotechnology into a world-class, integrated biopharmaceutical enterprise.
