Abstract

On August 24, 2021, the Biochemistry Group of the Company’s Quality Control Department held a “Lowry Method Protein Content Assay Skills Competition” in the company’s biochemistry laboratory. With the theme “Strengthening Fundamentals, Striving for Excellence,” the competition aimed to establish a platform for knowledge sharing and skill exchange, foster camaraderie, enhance the assay expertise of the Biochemistry Testing Group within the Quality Control Department, and ensure robust product quality control across the enterprise. The event was coordinated by the Trade Union, supervised by Human Resources, and implemented by the Quality Control Department. Liu Cui, Manager of the Quality Control Department; Zhang Ning, Deputy Manager of Human Resources; Ma Hongjuan, Senior Trade Union Officer; and all members of the Biochemistry Group of the Quality Control Department participated in the competition. The competition was conducted in an open, fair, and transparent manner. Participants were divided into six teams of two to three members each. Each team performed protein content assays according to the Lowry method’s standard operating procedures, with every participant analyzing one internal protein control sample and one blind sample. All teams commenced their assays simultaneously. The Lowry method serves as the foundation for UV–vis spectrophotometric quantification, testing analysts’ technical proficiency and attention to detail. Given that biological experiments involve living systems and materials, they inherently exhibit variability, placing higher demands on operators than other types of quantitative analyses. Final rankings were determined based on the correlation coefficient of the standard curve (r² ≥ 0.9900—higher values are preferable), the range of the internal protein control (41–46 µg/mL—closer to 43.5 µg/mL is better), and the results of the blind samples (the closer to the initial value, the better). After a day of intense competition, Qi Qiuhuan from the Quality Control Department won first place, Wang Lin took second place, and Wang Zhijuan secured third place. Following the event, Manager Liu Cui convened a debriefing session, during which participants reviewed their procedures, identified individual strengths and areas for improvement, and aligned on key operational details. The session proved highly instructive, highlighting the need for continued enhancement of biochemical experimental skills, strict adherence to GMP requirements, and a conscientious, responsible approach—meticulously attending to every experimental step and striving for excellence to yield more accurate and reliable results, thereby safeguarding product quality.

This competition will be conducted in an open, fair, and transparent manner, with participants divided into… 6 Group, each group consists of 2-3 People, contestants based on Lowry The protein content was determined in accordance with the standard operating procedure for protein assay, and each participant took… 1 One internal quality control sample and one blind sample are prepared, with each group commencing simultaneously. Lowry Detection of protein content in food. Lowry The determination of protein content by UV spectrophotometry serves as the foundation for quantitative experiments, assessing the analyst’s experimental technique and attention to detail. Biological experiments involve biological processes and materials, which inherently exhibit variability, thereby placing higher demands on the operator compared to other types of quantitative assays. Ultimately, the correlation coefficient of the standard curve ( r20.9900 , the closer it is to 1 The better ) , Protein internal control range (41~46 district g/ml , the closer it is to 43.5 district g/ml The rankings were determined based on the accuracy of the results (the closer to the initial values, the better) and the blind‑sample outcomes (the closer to the initial results, the better). After a day of intense competition, Qi Qiuhuan from the Quality Control Department took first place, Wang Lin placed second, and Wang Zhijuan secured third.

After the experiment concluded, Manager Liu Cui convened a debriefing session to review the day’s procedures, analyze each team member’s strengths and weaknesses, and standardize operational details. The participants gained valuable insights, recognizing that they still need to further enhance their skills in biochemical experiments and adhere strictly to… GMP In accordance with the requirements, we adopt a conscientious and responsible approach, meticulously attend to every experimental detail, and strive for continuous improvement, thereby obtaining more accurate and reliable experimental results and ensuring the quality of our company’s products.
