Abstract

On October 19, 2020, the project titled “Industrialization of the 23-valent Pneumococcal Polysaccharide Vaccine (Bulk Production and Fill‑and‑Finish)” — a special initiative under the National Development and Reform Commission’s 2014 program for the development of protein‑based biologics and vaccines — was reviewed and accepted at a meeting chaired by the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission. The meeting was attended by more than 15 participants, including representatives from the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention, technical and financial review experts, and the project leader. Following presentations, document reviews, expert questioning and clarification, and an on‑site inspection of the production facility, the expert panel unanimously concluded that the project had successfully achieved all its planned objectives and met the acceptance criteria.

Following a project presentation, document review, expert questioning and clarification, and an on-site inspection of the production facility, the expert panel unanimously concluded that the project had successfully achieved all its planned objectives, met the acceptance criteria, and recommended approval of the project’s completion.
