Abstract

To enhance employees’ physical fitness and promote a culture of sports and healthy living, the Minhai Bio Trade Union kicked off its table tennis tournament on May 8, 9, and 12 in the multi‑purpose hall. Liu Jiankai, Executive Deputy General Manager and Chairman of the Trade Union, along with Deputy General Manager Li Tong, attended the event in person, with General Manager Li serving as the chief referee. The competition featured three events—men’s singles, women’s singles, and men’s doubles—using a best‑of‑five format for the preliminary rounds and a best‑of‑seven format for the finals, with each game played to 11 points.   This tournament featured three events: men’s singles, women’s singles, and men’s doubles. The preliminary rounds were best-of-five games, while the finals were best-of-seven, with each game played to 11 points. In the men’s singles and doubles, the top three places were contested; in the women’s singles, only the champion was determined. Competition was fierce across all categories, with a wealth of skilled players on display. On the court, intricate angles, graceful arcs, and powerful smashes all showcased the athletes’ strength and ingenuity. Adhering to the spirit of “friendship first, competition second,” the participants exchanged insights, savored the joy of rivalry, and embraced the pleasure of sport, reflecting the positive, upward‑looking ethos of Minhai Bio employees. Referees rigorously enforced the rules, ensuring fairness and impartiality throughout the event. After intense and spirited matches, Zhou Hui from the General Office, Yang Zhiliang from the Engineering and Equipment Department, and Zhang Fuchun from the Production and Operations Center claimed the men’s singles gold, silver, and bronze medals, respectively; Li Zhulin from the International Cooperation Department won the women’s singles title; and Team Leader Li, Team Leader Liu, Zhu Ruibo from the R&D Center, along with Zhou Hui from the General Office and Zhang Zhiqiang and Zhou Jianxin from the Engineering and Equipment Department, took the men’s doubles gold, silver, and bronze honors, respectively.

  This event received high attention from the company’s leadership, who took the lead in participating. Through this initiative, not only was an opportunity provided for employees who enjoy table tennis to exchange ideas and hone their skills, but it also enlivened their leisure time and fostered a positive, energetic corporate culture at Minhai.

Recently, Beijing held a grand commendation conference for the “Two Excellences and One Pioneer” initiative in emerging sectors. The “Two New” Working Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee recognized outstanding Communist Party members, exemplary Party affairs workers, and advanced primary-level Party organizations across the city’s emerging fields.
