Abstract

On the morning of October 26, 2022, the “2022 Academic Salon of the Academician and Expert Service Center—Seminar on Novel Viral Vaccines,” hosted by the Beijing Association for Science and Technology and co-organized by the Innovation Service Center of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology and Beijing Minhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd., was held at Minhai Biotechnology. Eight renowned experts in the vaccine field, including Academician Yongxin Yu of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, were invited to attend and deliver remarks. On the morning of October 26, 2022, the “2022 Academic Symposium on Novel Viral Vaccines—Science and Technology Salon of the Academician and Expert Service Center,” co-organized by the Beijing Association for Science and Technology and jointly hosted by the Innovation Service Center of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology and Beijing Minhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd., was held at Minhai Biotechnology. Eight renowned experts in the vaccine field, including Academician Yu Yongxin of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, were invited to attend the symposium and deliver remarks.

The symposium was held in a hybrid online–offline format, chaired by Liu Jiankai, Executive Deputy General Manager of the company. Zheng Haifa, Director of the Academician and Expert Workstation, provided an overview and summary of the event. Attending academicians and experts exchanged views and discussed the research progress of three projects: the inactivated COVID‑19 vaccine (Vero cell), the quadrivalent enterovirus (EV‑A71, CV‑A6, CV‑A10, CV‑A16) inactivated vaccine (Vero cell), and the lyophilized live attenuated varicella vaccine. They highly commended the achievements made in these projects and offered valuable insights on aspects such as project planning and technical challenges, thereby contributing positively to the smooth advancement of subsequent work.

“The 2022 Academician and Expert Service Center Science Salon—Symposium on Novel Virus Vaccines” was the first large-scale salon event hosted by Minhai Biotechnology. The event provided valuable intellectual and technical support for the company’s technological innovation, R&D enhancement, and the commercialization of research outcomes, laying a solid foundation for the further development of vaccines that are new to China and globally.
