According to reports, Shenzhen has now established a biopharmaceutical industry cluster centered on the Nanshan High-Tech Industrial Park and the Pingshan National Bio-Industry Base, with other districts contributing to coordinated development. The city has also seen the emergence of a number of leading and innovative enterprises, including Mindray Medical, BGI, and Kintor Pharmaceutical.

In recent years, the city’s biopharmaceutical industry has maintained steady and rapid growth, with its scale continuously expanding, becoming a new driver of Shenzhen’s economic development.
