Abstract
By bringing vaccine knowledge to every household, Kangtai Biological, the parent company of Minhai Biologics, has become China’s first vaccine science‑education base.
Liang Xiaofeng, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine, presented a plaque designating Kangtai Biological, the parent company of Minhai Biologics, as the “Vaccine Science Education Base of the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine.”
On December 10, 2019, the inaugural unveiling ceremony for the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association’s first vaccine science education base was held in Shenzhen. The base is located at the production facility of Kangtai Biological, the parent company of Minhai Biological, in Guangming District.
At the plaque‑presentation ceremony, Liang Xiaofeng, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine, read out the Society’s official letter approving Kangtai Biological Products Co., Ltd. as a Vaccine Science Education Base of the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine, and presented Kangtai Biological with the plaque designating it as a “Vaccine Science Education Base of the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine.”
Liang Dongming, Supervisor-General of the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine, along with leaders and guests from the Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Guangdong Society of Preventive Medicine, the Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Shenzhen Society of Preventive Medicine, and other organizations, jointly witnessed the plaque‑hanging ceremony.
In his address, Secretary-General Liang emphasized that on December 1, China’s first Vaccine Administration Law and the newly revised Drug Administration Law officially came into effect. These two laws fully implement the spirit of the “four strictest” requirements for vaccines, marking a major reform in modernizing China’s pharmaceutical safety governance system and governance capacity. He expressed the hope that Kintor Pharmaceutical and the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine will work together to build and strengthen the vaccine science‑education base, leveraging its strengths to disseminate scientifically sound vaccine information to the public, deepen the public’s understanding of vaccines, and safeguard the healthy development of China’s immunization program.
