Abstract
On the afternoon of September 13, the sixth annual “Ankang Cup” Workers’ Basketball Tournament for 2018 officially came to a close at the Daojing Sports Activity Center. The competition featured 13 teams from various units within the Biomedical Base, bringing together top basketball players who battled fiercely over 10 days in a total of 23 matches. The Minhai Biotechnology basketball team demonstrated unity, determination, and relentless effort throughout the tournament, ultimately securing an impressive third-place finish.
Since receiving the event notice, the Minhai Bio Trade Union has actively participated, carefully selecting its strongest athletes and conducting rigorous pre‑competition training, leaving no stone unturned in pursuit of victory. During the matches, the players were full of energy and worked seamlessly together; on both offense and defense, each one was as vigorous as a seasoned pro—whether it was perimeter shooting, driving layups, rebounding, or executing team plays. Although they fell short in the semifinals, the entire team meticulously reviewed their performance afterward, prepared diligently, and made thorough strategic arrangements. After a grueling and intense contest, they ultimately secured an impressive third-place finish.
With sweat-soaked determination, superb skills, and soaring spirit, the Minhai Bio athletes fully showcased the outstanding sporting ethos of Minhai Bio’s employees, perfectly embodying the tournament’s motto: “Showcase confidence, express yourself, push beyond limits, and let youth shine.”
Team members unanimously expressed that, despite some lingering regrets from this competition, they will carry the spirit of “unity and progress, relentless striving” into their professional roles, striving to become a world-class, internationally leading vaccine company and contributing their youthful energy to Minhai Biologics’ grand vision of “creating the best vaccines to benefit human health.”
