Abstract

On June 8, the three-day 2018 Minhai Biotechnology Fifth “Red May” Table Tennis Tournament concluded in the company’s multi-purpose hall. Organized by the Minhai Biotechnology Trade Union Committee, the event drew 35 players from across all departments. The competition was fiercely contested, with top contenders emerging one after another and evenly matched pairs locking horns in thrilling matches. In the singles events, players traded powerful pushes, deflections, lifts, and smashes, their skills evenly matched; in the doubles, partners coordinated with seamless positioning and dynamic attacks down both sides of the table, each bringing their unique strengths to bear. The athletes’ exquisite technique left spectators in awe, prompting frequent exclamations of admiration.

  The match was fiercely contested, with top contenders emerging one after another. Numerous evenly matched players faced off in thrilling encounters. In the singles events, players traded powerful pushes, blocks, lifts, and pulls, their skills neck and neck; in the doubles, partners executed seamless positioning and darting attacks, each bringing their unique strengths to bear. The athletes’ exquisite technique left the audience spellbound, prompting repeated exclamations of admiration.

 

 

  In the end, the women’s singles title was won by Song Xue from the R&D Center; the men’s singles title went to He Jiaqi of Vaccine Room 4; the women’s doubles crown was claimed by Song Xue and Li Qianqian from the R&D Center; and the men’s doubles title was secured by Zhu Ruibo and Wang Zhonghui of the R&D Center. The women’s singles runner-up was Kang Yunmei from QC; the men’s singles runner-up was Zhang Jingfei from the R&D Center; and the men’s doubles runner-up was Peng Jian from QA and Zhang Fuchun from the Production and Operations Center. The men’s singles bronze medalist was Zhu Ruibo from the R&D Center, while the men’s doubles bronze medalists were He Jiaqi of Vaccine Room 4 and Yang Zhiliang from the Engineering Equipment Department. The Engineering Equipment Department and the R&D Center were awarded the departmental organization prize for this table tennis event.

 

 

  This table tennis tournament organized by Minhai Biotechnology enlivened the employees’ cultural and sports life, vividly showcasing the spirit of Minhai staff—uplifting, ambitious, and unafraid to strive. Participants found joy in physical activity, relaxed both body and mind, and strengthened their friendships and bonds, thereby achieving the dual goals of enhancing physical fitness and boosting work enthusiasm.
