Abstract
On the morning of January 15, 2018, Beijing Minhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. held a grand topping-out ceremony for the main structure of its R&D and production building on the rooftop. Attending the ceremony were Du Weimin, Chairman of the company; Liu Jiankai, Executive Deputy General Manager; Yuan Liping, Deputy General Manager; Li Xiangqun, Director of Quality; relevant leaders from the New Engineering Project Department; as well as representatives from the project’s participating construction units.
As the crisp autumn breeze swept through and the sun shone brightly, Chairman Du Weimin of the company, after listening to brief progress reports from the new project’s engineering team and the construction contractor, solemnly announced: “The R&D and Production Building project of Beijing Minhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. has been successfully topped out,” as a crane hoisted the final load of concrete to the roof of the building. At that moment, the sound of booming fireworks filled the air, and amid the lively, festive atmosphere, company leaders took up shovels to ceremonially mark the topping-out of the R&D and Production Building. The scene was electric, brimming with excitement. Following the ceremony, all the executives gathered on the rooftop for a group photo, expressing their eager anticipation for the completed facility. With this, the topping-out ceremony for the main structure of the R&D and Production Building concluded in triumph.
The main structural works of the R&D and Production Building comprise four floors, occupy a site area of 6,419.63 square meters, and have a total floor area of 27,341.51 square meters. From the commencement of construction in June 2017 to the topping-out of the main structure, the project spanned six months. With the support of the Biomedical Base Management Committee and the close collaboration among the design, construction, and supervision teams, the project rigorously ensured construction quality and successfully completed its phased milestones. Completion and handover are expected by the end of 2018.
