Abstract

From January 8 to 10, 2018, a four-member delegation comprising the company’s General Manager Zheng Haifa, Executive Deputy General Manager Liu Jiankai, Head of the International Cooperation Department Zhang Qian, and the project leader for the mumps vaccine, Zhang Yan, paid a visit to IMUNAPHARM, A.S., located in Slovakia. Founded in 1953, IMUNAPHARM, A.S. is a Slovak pharmaceutical company whose state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and stringent quality standards meet both the requirements of the World Health Organization and the legal standards of the European Union.

Founded in 1953, IMUNAPHARM, A.S. is a Slovak pharmaceutical company whose advanced manufacturing processes and stringent quality standards meet both the requirements of the World Health Organization and the legal standards of the European Union.

　　Following preliminary review of technical documentation and commercial negotiations, on January 10, 2018, Minhai entered into a mumps virus seed‑strain licensing agreement with IMUNA PHARM, A.S. Under this agreement, IMUNA PHARM, A.S. will supply Minhai with the mumps vaccine seed strain and grant Minhai the right to use that seed strain in mainland China (excluding Macao, Hong Kong, and Taiwan) for the production and marketing of vaccines intended for the prevention or treatment of human diseases.

　　The signing and implementation of this mumps virus strain licensing agreement have not only successfully secured the necessary viral strain for the company but have also further diversified its R&D product portfolio. This has laid a solid foundation for the development of the company’s measles‑mumps‑rubella (MMR) combination vaccine and, to a certain extent, enhanced the company’s market competitiveness.
