Inactivated Poliovirus Vaccine Project
Partner: The Netherlands’ INTRAVACC collaborative project on a human diploid cell–based rabies vaccine. Cooperation model: technology transfer, with support from the Major New Drug Development Program. Significance of the collaboration: to provide Chinese citizens with a safe and effective inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV), to achieve localized production of IPV, and to facilitate its inclusion in the national immunization program; at the same time, to enable the international market supply of IPV through the WHO.

Partner: Sanofi Pasteur, France Project: Human Diploid Cell–Derived Rabies Vaccine Cooperation Model: Technology Transfer Funding: Supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology’s first batch of special funds for international scientific and technological cooperation and exchange in 2011 Significance of the Collaboration: This is China’s second project to introduce a complete set of vaccine production technologies.
