The company initiated its intellectual property management system standardization efforts in May 2018. Following seven months of intensive preparation, on December 11–12, 2018, it hosted a three-member audit team from Zhongzhi (Beijing) Certification Co., Ltd., which assessed the establishment and operation of the company’s intellectual property management system. Liu Jiankai, the company’s Executive Deputy General Manager and representative of the IP management function, along with heads and relevant personnel from the Research & Development Department, Human Resources Department, Finance Department, General Office, Procurement and Warehousing Department, Marketing Department, R&D Center, and Production Operations Center, all participated in the audit.

Recently, a five-member delegation comprising two inspectors from the Pakistan Medicines Regulatory Authority—Abdul Rashid Shaikh and Muhammad Amin—and three agents, including Shahzad Hussain Chaudhry, visited Minhai to conduct an inspection of the measles–rubella combined attenuated live vaccine (hereinafter referred to as the “MR vaccine”). Company executives attached great importance to this inspection by the Pakistan Medicines Regulatory Authority, instructing all levels of the organization to take it seriously, provide full cooperation, and make thorough preparations to ensure the smooth completion of the inspection.

According to a December 27, 2018 report by Pakistan’s The Express Tribune, as measles makes a resurgence, the National Institute of Health in Pakistan has resumed production of measles vaccine after an interruption of nearly seven years. The vaccine’s bulk antigen is being supplied by Beijing Minhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Shenzhen Kangtai Biological Products Co., Ltd. of China. This marks the first time China has exported measles vaccine bulk antigen to Pakistan.

On the morning of December 20, 2018, a delegation of seven, including Lu Guihua, President of the Beijing No. 2 Intermediate People’s Court, paid a visit to the company for research and guidance, accompanied by Zhao Jianxiong, Deputy General Manager of the Biopharmaceutical Base.
