Abstract

To strengthen enterprises’ ability to prevent accident risks and ensure the safe management of hazardous chemicals, on June 24, Zhai Yang, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy District Mayor of Daxing District, led a team to the company for a comprehensive safety inspection of hazardous chemical operations. Li Gang, Party Secretary and Director of the Daxing District Emergency Management Bureau; Zhang Long, General Manager of the Biomedical Base Management Committee; and Hu Wei, Section Chief of the Hazardous Chemicals Division of the Daxing District Emergency Management Bureau, also participated in the inspection. Company General Manager Zheng Haifa, along with Wu Chengyu, Zhang Yidi, and other company representatives, accompanied the team. The inspection focused on the safe storage, use, and management of hazardous chemicals. Following the inspection, Director Li Gang emphasized three key points: first, prioritize equipment reliability by conducting regular checks to ensure proper operation; second, intensify safety training and education for all personnel to enhance safety safeguards and emergency response capabilities; and third, closely monitor the adverse impacts of extreme weather conditions such as high temperatures and heavy rainfall, conduct proactive risk assessments, and implement effective preventive measures. Section Chief Hu Wei outlined specific requirements for safety management. Deputy District Mayor Zhai underscored the following priorities: first, raise awareness of hazardous chemical safety management and bolster accident‑prevention capabilities, fully implementing the directives from the Daxing District’s meeting on deploying the large‑scale safety inspection of hazardous‑chemical enterprises and refining all control measures; second, rigorously enforce the principal responsibility of enterprises for workplace safety, ensuring that top executives take charge, conducting thorough hazard identification and remediation without leaving any blind spots; and third, leverage this on-site visit to gain an in-depth understanding of each enterprise’s needs and challenges, promptly formulating targeted measures to help alleviate their difficulties. General Manager Zheng affirmed the company’s unwavering commitment to implementing all safety requirements and measures related to hazardous chemicals, strengthening corporate safety awareness, promoting a culture of safety, and eliminating potential risks. He added that, taking “Safety Production Month” as an opportunity, the company will strive to elevate its safety‑production efforts to a new level.

Third, through this on-site visit, a detailed assessment of each enterprise will be carried out, enabling timely identification of their needs and challenges and the formulation of targeted measures to help them overcome difficulties.

General Manager Zheng stated that the company will resolutely implement all safety requirements and measures for the management of hazardous chemicals, strengthen corporate safety awareness, promote a safety‑oriented culture, and eliminate safety risks.
