Abstract
On September 15, the inaugural Sports Meet of China Pharmaceutical Valley was successfully held at the Daxing South Campus of the Capital Normal University Affiliated Middle School. Attending the event were Fang Jian, Deputy District Mayor of Daxing District; Tian Dexiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Management Committee of the Biopharmaceutical Base; members of the base’s leadership team; and representatives from more than 40 enterprises located within the park. Yuan Liping, Deputy General Manager of our company, was invited as a distinguished corporate guest to attend the opening ceremony and related activities. Wang Xi, a basketball player from our Procurement and Warehousing Department, took to the stage to deliver the athletes’ oath on behalf of all participating companies across the park.

China Pharmaceutical Valley is hosting this year’s sports meet, with the aim of further showcasing the overall corporate image of the biopharmaceutical park, rallying momentum for development, and establishing a robust communication platform for companies within the park. The event seeks to energize employees and help them cultivate a positive, optimistic outlook on healthy living. The games are divided into two phases—preliminary rounds and on-site finals—and feature a total of 25 competitive events, each offering diverse activities and strong participatory appeal.

To welcome the inaugural China Pharmaceutical Valley Staff Games on September 15, the Minhai Biotechnology Trade Union began meticulous preparations at the end of August. With the support of company leadership and all departments, a total of 41 athletes and parade participants were recruited. To ensure they enter the upcoming games in peak condition, everyone has been making the most of their breaks—practicing formation drills, practicing Tai Chi, and intensifying training—actively preparing with full commitment, striving to showcase their skills and spirit and achieve outstanding results at the first China Pharmaceutical Valley Staff Games.
Even in late summer and early autumn, the sun still blazes fiercely, yet it cannot dampen the company’s employees’ fervent enthusiasm for the sports meet. “One-two-one, one-two-one… Attention!” “Twenty-four‑form Tai Chi.” Every day from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., loud cheers and the soothing strains of Tai Chi music echo beneath the office building as Minhai Bio’s athletes diligently rehearse their formation, repeatedly practicing the opening‑ceremony routines. Though each department has its own workload, both staff and management make time in the evenings—despite their busy schedules—to join in intensive team‑training sessions. From an initial debut when marching in formation and chanting slogans fell short of expectations, and the Tai Chi group’s movements were uneven, to today’s polished performance—marked by crisp, synchronized chants like “Unite Minhai, Show Our Spirit, Innovate with Technology, Benefit Society”—and by the seamless, coordinated motions of the Tai Chi formation, what remains unseen is the sweat shed over countless days.

On the day of the sports meet, Minhai Bio’s athletes competed in six events: track relay, standing long jump, 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash, sandbag throw, and basketball shooting. The company’s trade union streamed the competition live in the Minhai Bio WeChat group, where they received a heartfelt message of encouragement and praise from Chairman Du himself. Seeing Chairman Du’s commendation, the athletes were greatly inspired, redoubling their efforts to push beyond their limits and earn enthusiastic cheers and applause from the spectators. Among these events, the 4x100-meter relay put participants’ physical fitness and technical skills to the test; as the starting gun fired, runners sprinted with remarkable speed, racing neck and neck, vividly showcasing Minhai’s spirit of teamwork.

At the sports meet, General Manager Yuan encouraged the athletes to showcase their spirit and demonstrate their true abilities, thereby further embodying the company’s corporate culture of “integrity, efficiency, innovation, and unity,” and rallying the collective spirit needed to drive Minhai Bio’s rapid and sustainable growth. We firmly believe that, just as they are striving with all their might on this very field—the Daxing South Campus of the Capital Normal University Affiliated Middle School—on the stage of Minhai Bio, our employees will, as always, step up to the challenge, take bold action, and dedicate their efforts to the continued development of Minhai Bio!
