On the morning of May 17, 2022, Du Weimin, Chairman of Kangtai Biological, along with a delegation, visited the construction site of the Kangtai Group Building in Yuehai Subdistrict, Nanshan District, to inspect the project’s progress. The Kangtai Group Building is part of Kangtai Biological’s urban renewal initiative, with a total floor area of approximately 140,000 square meters. It is an innovation-driven industrial park integrating R&D space and supporting facilities. The project was successfully topped out in January 2022 and is expected to be commissioned by the end of March 2023. At the site, Chairman Du Weimin stated that the Group Building marks a new starting point for Kangtai Biological’s growth, adding that the company will leverage this facility to further strengthen its innovative DNA and elevate its research capabilities.

On May 6, 2022, the adenovirus‑vector COVID‑19 vaccine production facility of Shenzhen Kangtai Biological Products Co., Ltd., the parent company of Beijing Minhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd., located in Shenzhen, received a Certificate of Conformity issued by the European Union Qualified Person (QP). The EU QP audit focused on various aspects of Kangtai’s vaccine production line, including utility systems, the manufacturing management system, the quality assurance system, the warehousing and logistics system, as well as process and cleaning validation. Following the audit, a QP audit report was prepared to confirm compliance with EU standards, and a declaration of QP qualification was issued. This milestone marks that Kangtai’s adenovirus‑vector COVID‑19 vaccine is now ready for production.
