On April 27, the “Striving in the New Era—Labor Writes a New Chapter” celebration marking International Labor Day and the advanced‑worker commendation conference kicked off in Daxing District, Beijing. 2018 Kuangmiao Annual Conference: “A New Era—Embarking on a New Journey Toward Rabies Elimination”
On April 12–13, 2018, the “2018 China Rabies Conference” was grandly held in Changsha, Hunan Province. Co-hosted by the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine, the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, and the China Working Dog Management Association, the conference was themed “Embarking on a New Journey Toward Rabies Elimination in the New Era.” It brought together more than 1,000 experts and scholars from government agencies, professional associations, and research institutions in the fields of public health and animal husbandry and veterinary medicine. Over the course of two days, the conference featured discussions on four key topics: domestic and international advances in rabies prevention and control; surveillance and diagnostics; immunization and practical measures for prevention and control; and post-exposure prophylaxis.
